Thank you for visiting our webpage! Here you will find a timeline which briefly identifies each art movement as they began starting with Romanticism. There is so much information so we just tried to put in some of the "major" art movements, but do
not think that any movement is more or less important!! From this site you will find links to each of our group member's own page where they set up a "virtual museum" for you to visit. We have all worked long and hard on our pages so please take the time to explore each and write a comment! There are also links to other sources of information for art movements within each art movement. Like we said, so much information!! Links are located at the lower right corner of the page. Thank you again for visiting!!

Op [Optical] Art, 1950s-1960s
Extremely popular with Pop Art, these artists used abstract art that blended with optical illusions, using the methods of perspective illusion and chromatic tension. Repeating colors and lines created perceived movement to trick the viewers eye.
